Using paper cutouts, this animated short film takes a new approach to the classic Greek myth, "Sisyphus and the Boulder."

May 2018.
Because this film was made under Ghetto Film School's intensive "Intro to Animation" curriculum, we were able to choose our own groups and crew positions amongst ourselves. Our group decided it would be in our best interest to steer clear from assigning strict crew positions, meaning, we were all able to work hands-on in each department.
Production was done over four days using Dragonframe. This was my crewmates' and my first time using this program. It took some getting used to, but today we are all proficient in Dragonframe.
Editing and sound design was completed in one day during the provided editing block, which lasted for five hours. As Rosibel and May found sound effects, Luna cut together our first assembly while I animated our closing title card and credits. After animating, I began editing and adding the final touches for sound design. Post-production was incredibly valuable for my crew and me as we were reminded of the importance of sound design, especially in a non-dialogue film like ours.
